| I like this map.. but after yesterday's performance, it seems we need to familiarise ourselves with it. Take a look.. Slant in all it's glory. I have no idea who made it, and it doesn't come with a Babo installation, so we can only try it on the Squad Server. I know some people don't like it, but it's good fun for snipers as there are plenty of defensive positions. We played 3 v 3.. It didn't turn out well, probably because our roles were not well defined and we had not played the map before. Nevertheless, here's an example of three positions from which blue can defend most of the map with snipers. Smgs can patrol behind or attack etc.. So.. whaddya think? I reckon, if we learn this map well, it could be a good backup against inexperienced teams. edit: smaller pics

| to that map: i was one of us who played it and i was (quite successful) on position 3 (the sniper). I really like that position and im a quite good sniper (and kniver^^) in defense. So i'd really like to play position C with Gero and another good SMG (Zajko or ???) as backup. | |

| Hi dudes!
I really like this initiative to post tactics!
I think this thing is to try as soon as possible.
My piece of advice: the first thing to think when you design some kind of plan over a map is to be sure you know you control the spawning points. I fear that with this configuration the enemy could spawn just next to our flag. That's why I think we should add a guy to control the left down corner.
As I'm looking your schema, I'm really convinced - stuck on the enemy's defenser - that a sniper should hold the position next to the flag, while the guy on position C - say Ratatosk - controls the zones shown on the schema with a weapon more likely to be scary in a close combat (shotgun, flamethrower, smg, chaingun, dmg (the second weapon (knives or shield) chosen according to the affinity of the guy (I have pwned the record of ())). Because, of course, if C gets killed, the enemy will obviously spawns in our base...
Hope this help!
Cheers!
Edit: to know where the spawn points are, just open the map in the map editor.

| oh. right. good point with spawning points... BUT: i still think on position C shoulb be a good sniper because: 1. whem you watch the map, you see that there is some kind of tunnel which is controlled by the sniper, he shoots any body in there and those who survive the first shot will be killed by our attacker (1 SMG-shot is enough to send him to hell then) and when they die, thatd be good too, of course. 2. When there is one SMG-man (gero or anyone else who pwns with it) and i am under attack by short-range weapons (Shotty, Flame...) i can fall back to our flag and do te SMG/Sniper defense as long as the ennemies are dead and then with full health can go to position 3 again. you really control this "channel and that is important, on my opinion. our def controls the flag-spawning points and from the snipers view you see everything(!!!) on the map. so that with our shortcut list the sniper says to our attacker where he has to go , for example:
WTI : Ratatosk: y tur
then, yao can go where there is none or only slight defense aginst him when he has the flag.
So i just think a sniper on position C is very good, but for sure we have to try that out when our server is running (which will hopefully be very soon...)

| umm.. yah ^^ anyway seeing as we've played it a bit now, it looks like 2 snipers in positions A, B or C can cover and attack while two defenders using ft or smg protect against sneaky bastards coming in for the flag. Staying behind the walls and not dying usually works. - and yeah i need to sort out my images. | |
